To make Moong ki dal, you will need the following ingredients: Ingredients: 1 cup Moong dal (split mung beans) 3 cups water 1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped 2-3 garlic cloves, minced 1-inch piece of ginger, grated 2-3 green chilies, chopped (adjust according to your spice preference) 1 medium-sized tomato, chopped 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds A pinch of asafoetida (hing) 2 tablespoons ghee or vegetable oil Salt to taste Fresh coriander leaves for garnish Lemon wedges (optional, for serving) Instructions: Rinse the Moong dal thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear.
